 | MG12-M Cylindrical
Grinder Machine:
A compact machine requiring minimal floor area -
ideal for tool rooms and small shops, for prototype and small batch
production. Whilst built to a most simple construction
specification, the potential capabilities of the MG12-M, in terms of
work piece geometric accuracy is equal to all other MG12 series, with
repeatability down to 0.0025mm (0.0001"). Automatic lubrication is
fitted to both slides and also the very precise wheelhead feedscrew
assembly. This keeps wear to a minimum and offers a long life of
accuracy. All of the standard MG12 series accessories are
applicable, including Diaform and Swing-down Internal Grinding
attachment, with the exception of In-Process Gauging. |
 | MG12-ME Cylindrical
Grinder Machine:
This machine is an upgrade
of the purely manual MG12-M. The addition of a hydraulic cylinder to the
carriage, control-valve block and hydraulic power pack, enables a more
consistent speed of movement to the carriage with the addition of a
controlled 'dwell' facility. This consistency of movement
facilitates the achievement of fine surface finishes and provides for
greater control of the reciprocating movement involved in Internal
Grinding. |

Grinder Machine:
The MG12-HM is aimed at
large production operations. The base and carriage are of heavier
construction, with the same auto lubrication and precise wheelfeed
arrangements as the MG12-M. With the added sophistication of
hydraulic wheelhead rapid retract and advance for unloading and loading.
This combines with electrical linkage to workhead stop-start and a
mechanical automatic in-feed. |

 | MG12-HPM Cylindrical
Grinder Machine:
The MG12-HPM is the most
versatile of the MG12 Hydraulic range, having automatic cycles in both
traverse and plunge grinding modes. The machine can be used as a
manual, hydraulic traverse or plunge grinder and incorporates all of the
capabilities of the MG12 range, excluding the MG12-CNC. Once set,
the full cycle is operated by a single lever and is reset automatically
ready for the next component. In plunge mode, the machine can be
set for rapid advance to course feed, then fine feed down to size.
The progress of the plunge cycle can be easily observed on a window
display. The standard machine has .025" of controlled plunge depth
(.050" off diameter). Depths of .100" and .200" are also offered.
Auto-sizing can be fitted using MARPOSS In-Process Gauging, which
controls the machine right down to actual size. Size is measured on the
workpiece with automatic compensation for wheel wear. Size control
within 1 micron is achievable. |
 | MG12-CNC Cylindrical
Grinder Machine:
The MG12-CNC offers the
most sophisticated machine whereby users can apply their own in-depth
skill and expert knowledge, via user-friendly programming and canned
cycles. Outstanding production, quality and efficient performance can be
achieved. The machine can be programmed by the operator direct or
online and has the capability of storage via MDI flash card, or by the
RS-232C port. Software has been developed by Myford, in
co-operation with Fanuc, to give the operator all the tools needed to
produce precise parts. Canned cycle programs permit the grinding
of both internal and external radii and also tapers, via interpolation,
plus all standard cycles. Multi Diameters - Automatic Shoulder location for multi diameter parts
eliminates manual length re-setting. If, within multi diameters, one or
more diameters has special size or finish specified, the machine can be
programmed to re-dress in cycle for these requirements - 16 offsets are
available for use with multi diameter grinding. Any owner or operator
with previous Myford experience will appreciate the potential that is
being offered in terms of durable accuracy and precision with low
maintenance, little or no down-time and high volume production. A
